Who I tend to work with

Organisations and leaders doing technically complex work in sustainability, climate, nature and carbon markets.

People who understand their field deeply and don’t need someone to explain the basics to them. What they usually have in common is that the depth of what they’re building hasn’t yet translated into how they’re showing up externally. The work is strong. The communication hasn’t caught up.

Needs show up in different ways depending on where someone is

A founder preparing for a major fundraise who needs a clearer narrative.

social enterprise programme team sitting on strong data that isn't yet in a form anyone outside the organisation can use.

A senior leader who is active on LinkedIn but doesn't yet sound like themselves.

An initiative that works across multiple stakeholders and needs one coherent story to hold it together.

How the works shows up

The work tends to arrive in one of a few ways.

Someone has strong data or programme outputs and needs help turning them into something an external audience can actually use. A knowledge product, a summary, a set of materials that do the explaining so they don't have to.

Someone has a project or idea that makes sense internally but is hard to introduce to people outside it. The information is there. The story needs shaping.

Someone knows they should be showing up more publicly, but isn't sure what to say, how to say it, or how to make it feel like them rather than a performance.

And sometimes it's all of the above, showing up across a website, a deck, a LinkedIn presence, and a set of conversations with funders or partners that aren't being understood the way they should.

What I support

Strategic communications

Positioning and narrative

Getting clear on what an organisation or leader stands for, how to articulate it simply, and how to make it consistent across different audiences and contexts.

Website and messaging

Reviewing or rebuilding how an organisation introduces itself, so the external story matches the quality of the work behind it.

Content and editorial

Knowledge products and strategic content

Turning technical work, data or programme outputs into documents that are clear, engaging and usable. Reports, summaries, external-facing materials.

Editorial support

Writing and shaping content that requires both sector knowledge and editorial judgement. Op-eds, newsletters, programme updates, impact stories. The kind of writing where getting the tone, framing and audience right matters as much as the words themselves.

Voice and visibility

Executive voice and LinkedIn

Helping leaders develop a point of view and a way of expressing it that feels natural and holds up over time.

Film and audio storytelling

Documentary and field-based storytelling

Long-form content translating complex projects and implementation work into film and audio narratives that are accessible, engaging and built to be remembered.

Leadership video and podcast content

Short-form video, in-conversation formats and narrative-led series for leaders and initiatives that need to show up in ways that feel human.

Fractional support

Ongoing communications support

Working alongside teams as an embedded strategic partner, providing consistent advisory and editorial support rather than one-off outputs.

How I work

Most engagements are either project-based or ongoing.
– Project work tends to suit specific, defined deliverables. – Ongoing support suits organisations or leaders who need consistent communications thinking across a period of time, not just a single output.

I keep a small number of clients at any one time, which means the work stays close and the support stays useful.

Get in touch

If you have something in mind, even loosely, it’s worth a conversation. We can usually get quite quickly to whether and how I can help.
